Monbazillac Castle
20 minutes from The Manoir, the Château de Monbazillac is waiting for your visit in a calm and peaceful environment. Built in 1550, and classified as a Historic Monument, the castle has a unique and original architecture which distinguishes it from its neighbours. In 2022, a new tour is set up with a new museum space dedicated to Monbazillac wines. This immersion in the heart of this world renowned wine vineyard will allow you to discover the secrets and specificities of this golden nectar, through its history, its terroir and its ancestral know-how. The self-guided entertaining visit of the château will plunge you into the heart of key periods of local history, retracing the daily life of a family at the château during the French Revolution. Each visit can include a wine tasting from the Monbazillac Wine Cooperative, which is the owner of the château since 1960.
Eymet
Eymet is a charming bastide town, is well-known for its lively market nights, especially on Tuesday evening during the summer months, offering a vibrant atmosphere.There is also a Thursday morning market with local produce running throughout the year. In addition to its bustling markets, Eymet boasts a selection of inviting restaurants where visitors can savor local delicacies. Historically, Eymet was founded in the 13th century, retaining much of its medieval character through its well-preserved square and arcaded buildings.

Issigeac
Issigeac is only a 13 minute drive from Casse Bessou. Issiegeac is particularly known for its vibrant Sunday morning market, which draws visitors from far and wide to browse local produce and crafts. The charming village also features several delightful restaurants, offering a chance to enjoy regional dishes in a picturesque setting.

Sarlat & Beynac
Sarlat-la-Canéda is a medieval town in southwest France's Dordogne department. Its central Sainte-Marie Church, redesigned by architect Jean Nouvel, hosts an indoor food market, and a glass elevator in the bell tower offers city views. Sarlat Market sells local delicacies like foie gras and cheese. Just along the Dordogne from Sarlat is Beynac.
